We just adopted a shelter pup and she's about 3 months old. What is a good age to take her to obedience training? Also... any tips on how to keep her from jumping up on people? She does it when she's excited and she knocks my son down or get people muddy......thanks :)

He is a golden retriever and about 18 mos. old. We have had him for 2 months. He is not really treat motivated and only sometimes toy motivated (and only throwing toys, such as tennis balls). We are taking an obedience training class and he is just not interested!!!

Im interested in taking my dog to obedience training at Petsmart. If anyone has taken the classes Id like some feedback..... was it worth the money? did it seem like they were training your dog hands on? did the trainer personally helped with issues, or did he/she just basically read out of a book out loud to everyone? how did the trainer interact with each student? did it feel like a personal session or di it seem overcrowded and hard to keep up? thanks in advance.

When did you start obedience training with your dog? How old should they be? I will be getting an English Bulldog and he will be 20 weeks old. When should I start enrolling him in professional obedience training?
I don't even have my dog yet :-)

I am starting my dog on agility. She is currently in advanced obedience for two more weeks and her agility starts next week, so there would be two weeks where she would be doing both (different nights). Do you think adding the agility in the last two weeks will affect her obedience training?

My puppy is about 12 weeks old. I want to begin obedience training but I don't know what to use as a reward treat. I don't want it to be a big treat but I want it to be good for her. Any ideas?
