What are some tricks for potty training a puppy?
I just got a new blue heeler puppy and she seems smart, she uses her puppy pads and goes when I take her outside. But I was wondering if there are any tricks to potty training her..

Lots and lots of praise when she does her deed outside like good girl, and that a girl and pet her.
Gypsy – what I would do is this: move the puppy pad she uses closer and closer to the door you will use to let her out to ** potty ** Keep a good eye on her for signs she needs to go, and let her out the door saying ** do you want outside ** in a high sign song voice that she reacts to in a positive happy way. Before long you can put the pad outside the door and repeat this proceess. After some time she will find a way to alert you at the door that she needs out.This has worked with all my babies
when it comes to potty training there is no trick involved. if she is about to go on the floor give her a light spank and scold her and put her outside to do her thing or put her on the puppy pads. there is no trick involved
Hold it while it pees and the potty lol keep doing that then let it sit on the toilet seat it takes time then the puppy gets use to it
She seems fine the way she is now.
Confine when not being directly supervised. Set up a schedule of feedings and potty trips so you’ll be able to predict when she has to go. Take her outside at scheduled times rather than wait for her to "tell" you.
